Butterflies and Birds Sampler

water colour background, overstamped with versa mark and brushed over with mica powder. words and butterflies stamped on to vellum.

Verse stamped in grey ink, vine stamped in green and flower soft added. Frame aperture was cut using nestabilities die. Front of frame embossed with 'Stampendous' Shabby blue and pink powder.

Background stamped with versa mark and clear embossing powder.  Then using a soft brush to ad colour with distress inks. The butterfly was stamped in gold and glittered. Leaves die cut ,

Background coloured with water colour. Swirls over stamped and embossed with Shabby Pink embossing powder. Bird cage stamped and embossed in gold. Swirl die cut and paper flowers.

Background brayerd with distress inks then whilst damp pink mica powder brushed over, this gives a sheene which unfortunately does not show on photo.  Words stamped with versa mark ink and again mica powder brushed over. Die cut and flowers added.

Background using waterclour on tissue paper, then whilst damp added Shabby embossing powders. Butterfly die cut was inked and then embossed with Shabby emb. powders. Body of butterfly mica beads.

Background used a blue patterned paper and added distress ink. Over stamped with swirl and embossed with Pink Shabby powder. Tag inked and stamped using gold powder. and embossed down one side. Bird, gold powder and water coloured.

This was made using a 'Kanban' kit with ink and embossing powder added.

Background inked with distress inks, words in gold embossing powder. Purple ink for the swirl embossed with glitter powder.  Right edged gold leaf. Paper flower.

These nine cards 10cm x 8cm make up a sampler for my shopping bag with plastic slots.

Inside Every Old Person!

Stamped using 'Ethel & Murray' stamps and misc. text stamp.  Background was white core basic cardstock, embossed with a polkodot mask and then sanded over to reveal white core.
The stamped image was coloured with 'Promarkers'.   A piece of contrasting black & white card to give the card balance.  Selection of blue card candy dots.

Wedding Day

Finally back into card making again after over 12 months break. 8 x 8 card.  The stamp was from
'Lilly of the Valley'. Coloured with 'Prismacolour' pencils.
Nestability die cuts.  Message from my computer.

Crafters Companion Aqua & Brown Challenge

This is my entry for 'Crafters Companion' challenge.

The stamp is from 'Patchwork Polly' and has been coloured with water colour pencils. I have made the flowers from the same double sided scrapbook paper as the frame and background. Although it hasn't shown up too well the flowers were glittered on the edges.

Pretty bird cage

The bird on a branch stamp ( Papermainia 'Henbury Lane set), was coloured using brush marker pens directly onto the stamp and stamped onto a smooth white card. Then I used blue chalk to dust over the background of the image. Then using the birdcage stamp (Dimension Fourth) I used Versamark and gold embossing powder (Sheena's Wow Powder). The background papers were from a 'Magnolia' pad from My Minds Eye.

More Polychromos colouring

Stamped image from Crafters Companion 'Celebration Parade' set. Again using all the same techniques as listed below. The background papers came as a free gift with Quick Cards magazine Feb issue.

This stamped image is from the 'Popcorn Bear' series from 'Crafters Companion'. I used a slightly textured paper from 'Papermania' their Preimum white pad. The image was stamped using black Memento ink. I used Polychromos Pencils (Faber Castell) using 2 shades each of yellow, blue and grey. After applying the colour I used a fine paper stump dipped into artist white spirit and blended the colour. Ice Sticles in lemon was used around the edge.

Playing with Promarkers

These cute little house stamps are from Polka Doodles and have been coloured in using pastel shades of Promarkers and shades of green and grey for the gardens, foliage and path.

This image is from a set of 'Murray and Ethel' stamps and are favourites with the ladies who buy my cards - especially the text! coloured with Promarkers.

This fun bird stamp is from Elusive Images. The background papers are from Polka Doodles 'Sugar Birdies' CD. The stamped image was embossed in gold and coloured using pastel shades of Promarkers. The text was outlined with Promarker.

This stamp is from an 'Elusive Images' stamp set. The bird and tree were embossed with gold powder. The bird was masked off to allow easy colouring of the sky using Sky blue and 2 Warm Grey Promarker pens blended together. The white embossed background is from a Cuttle Bug embossing folder and lightly chalked over.
